Para Play

Para Play (Pilot)

Para Play is Table Tennis Northlands community para table tennis programme, created to provide fun, inclusive, and accessible opportunities for disabled people to get involved in table tennis.

Drawing on the foundational skills and activities from our national introductory programme, Serve, Spin, Smash!, Para Play offers a welcoming environment where participants can learn new skills, build confidence, stay active, and enjoy the social benefits of sport.

The journey began with a Para Play Have a Go Day in Term 1, 2026, introducing participants to the sport in a fun and supportive setting. Following the success of the Have a Go Day, a four-week pilot programme was delivered in Term 1 and continued into Term 2, receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from participants, families, and communities.

Building on this success, Para Play will return for four-week programmes in both Term 3 and Term 4, 2026, giving even more participants the opportunity to experience table tennis in a supportive and engaging environment.

Whether you’re trying table tennis for the first time or looking to develop your skills, Para Play is designed for everyone to enjoy. Come along, have fun, make new connections, and discover the joy of table tennis.
